I am a big believer that it is never too soon to start teaching your kids the Word of God! Here are some variations of Scripture verses that you can have your toddler or preschooler memorize. Some may be a little difficult for younger toddlers, so I have placed an asterisk next to the verses I recommend for them!
Toddler: God created the heavens and the earth.
Preschooler: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Toddler: Love the Lord your God.
Preschooler: Love the Lord your God with all your heart.
Toddler: Give thanks to the Lord.
Preschooler: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
*Toddler: The Lord is good.
Preschooler: The Lord is good to all.
*Toddler: Trust in the Lord.
Preschooler: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
*Toddler: Do not be afraid.
Preschooler: Do not be afraid for I am with you.
*Toddler: Love your neighbor.
Preschooler: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Toddler: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Preschooler: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.
*Toddler: Be kind.
Preschooler: Be kind to one another.
Toddler: Children, obey your parents.
Preschooler: Children, obey your parents in the Lord.
Pre-K/TK: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Toddler: Rejoice in the Lord.
Preschooler: Rejoice in the Lord always.
Pre-K/TK: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
1 John 3:23
*Both: Love one another.
* Recommended for younger toddlers.
