Make Veggies Fun With These Easy Crafts

Broccoli Painting | Veggie Painting Craft | Toddler Activity | Kid Veggie Craft | #toddlers | #kidscrafts | www.fortheloveofmom.org

Each week we have a theme that we base our activities off of. So far, we've done some fun stuff with the sky, trees, flowers, grass and this week... veggies! (P.S. I can take zero credit for the themes. I'm just following along with the themes in my son's Awana Club at church.) Surprisingly, I think the veggies theme has been the one my son has enjoyed the most so far and I am not complaining about that! I am happy to do anything to spark his interest in veggies.

Craft Stick Carrot

Items Needed:

White printer or construction paper

Orange finger paint

Glue Sticks

Green tissue paper

Orange construction paper

Prep:

For young children, you will need to glue the orange sticks on the paper in the shape of a triangle. Cut the orange construction paper into squares. Cut the green tissue paper into strips.

Play:

If you did not already glue the craft sticks onto the paper, assist your child with gluing the sticks into a shape of a triangle. Have your child glue the orange squares to the inside of the triangle. Then, assist your child with gluing three pieces green tissue paper on the top of the carrot.

Additional:

Ask your child questions about the shape of the "carrot" and the orange construction paper. Talk about the color of the "carrot" and the strips of tissue paper.
