As long as it's clean, uncluttered and easily accessed, you can work out anywhere in your home. This includes places like basements and spare bedrooms. The most important thing is that you have room to move around and that you are able to get through a workout because let's be real, exercising "alone" is tough for moms. Clear a space and take measures to get through your workout uninterrupted - whether that's waking up early, keeping your kids occupied or including them in the workout!
Have a Plan
There are millions of ways to exercise at home, so you'll need to narrow down your options before you can get started. Do you want the guidance of an exercise video, or are you fine with directing your own workout? Do you have specific exercise machines that you want to use? Are you trying to burn a particular number of calories or just keep working out until the timer stops? There's no right or wrong answer here. It's all about your personal fitness goals.
Consider Buying Exercise Gear
Contrary to popular belief, you don't need fancy treadmills or expensive weight-lifting equipment to work up a sweat. There's nothing wrong with using these machines if you can afford them, but don't feel bad if they're outside your budget. You can whip yourself into shape with nothing more than a jump rope and a lot of determination! Of course, if you want to buy some exercise gear, that's okay too. It's always fun to browse things like gymnast rings and fitness boards to improve your squat form.
